…Discover the origins of chocolate as you taste the zesty pulp of cocoa beans fresh from the pod out in the plantation; and then sample some of the best chocolate in the world at Claudio Corallo’s laboratory in Sao Tome city.

…Walk the water tunnels that generate electricity in the north west of the island. This fasinating walk from Mucumbli, takes you through the plantations and into the hills, where you’ll go from one mysterious, long water tunnel to another, armed with just your torch and a pair of water shoes…

…Stand on the equator with one foot in the southern, and one foot in the northern hemisphere.  Not only can you straddle the equator, but, if the weather’s right, you’ll enjoy fabulous views back to Sao Tome’s phonolitic towers from the equator mark…well worth the visit.

I think that tasting menu meal cooked by Joao Carlos Silva was one of best things we did on our São Tomé and Príncipe trip – although it’s difficult to choose when we did so many great activities! Thank you for organising such a great holiday.
