There are several options, our favourite is exploring Damaraland's boulder strewn landscape by day and camping in what must be Namibia's most specacularly located safari tents at night. Listen for the call of hyaena across the valley as you take a quick bucket shower, and open your tent roof to sleep under the stars for truly memorable and wild nights.

Hello Ian
Just wanted to say what a fantastic holiday we had in Namibia and thank you for arranging everything. It was especially lovely of you to arrange for us to have a meal on our anniversary, that was a really special thing to do, so thank you so much. Not everyone gets to 40 years of marriage!
We were also spoilt on our last day in Okonjima, they also knew we were celebrating so arranged for us to have a private dinner in The Kraal with a complimentary bottle of fizz.
Words cannot fully express what a wonderful holiday it was. There was one time I was a little out of my comfort zone, a sand storm and thunder storm in Sossus! Not the best time to be trying to put a tent up on top of the vehicle.
You definitely saved the best to last, Okonjima is an amazing place full of the most amazing people and cats.
Christina was extremely helpful, especially when we got lost on our very first day! I put that down to a long flight overnight and not enough sleep!!!!
Once again thank you for an amazing holiday experience, Archipelago Choice always deliver fabulous holidays.

At Bullsport they breed some of the best quality warmblood horses in the country; beautiful, kind and calm they'll be right on your door step and keen to go out for a ride. Each day, experienced guides lead trails through the spectacular Naukluft mountain range and you'll be able to take it all in at a pace you feel comfortable with.
With the sun setting dramatically each night and long warm evenings, there's lots of reason to celebrate the end of the day in Namibia. A refreshing sundowner (a g&t perhaps ...) at the most impressive view point around, followed by lighting a fire - braai - and cooking Namibia's favourite dish (anything cooked on an open fire!) is an essential part of any day.
Immerse yourself in Namibia's inviting wilderness on our two night guided bush walks.
Namibia is THE place to see cheetah. Not only does Namibia have the largest population of cheetah worldwide, but we'll arrange for you to join guided walks and drives to see free-roaming cheetah under the care of successful conservation organisation, Africat, who are working hard to protect a number of big cats in Namibia.
Formerly a cattle farm, and now a nature reserve housing the Africat Foundation conservation project, the design of Okonjima Plains Camp honours the family’s cattle heritage with three-tier accommodation of 30 rooms. We tend to book the standard rooms which have a small veranda, two double beds, tea/coffee facility, fridge, roof fan, twin basins and large twin shower and private undercover parking. The Plains Camp Barn is the main sociable area with a dining and lounge area, WiFi, bar and swimming pool. All of these overlook the main attraction – a waterhole where you might see cheetah, brown hyena and leopards gathering.
Just 10km from the Von Lindequist gate of the world famous Etosha National Park, lies the Mushara Bush Camp offering a down to earth camp experience in 16 ensuite tents built from canvas, wood and local limestone. Each opens out onto its own private veranda with floor to ceiling windows making them light and airy. Brushed cement floors and stone walls keep the tents cool in the afternoon sun and four of them have a sofa bed suitable for two children. The main Camp house is thatched and has WiFi and a real bush camp feel to it, and a campfire is lit in the evenings for guests to gather and chat about their day.
A wildlife lover’s paradise, this gorgeous lodge lies within the 60,000 hectare Etosha Heights Private Game Reserve. There are seven comfortable chalets all with ensuite bathrooms, indoor showers and enormous bathtubs perfect for a post safari soak. High roofed thatched buildings called ‘Lapas’ make up the lodge. The main one houses the restaurant, bar and plenty of sitting areas ideal for enjoying your sundowner cocktail overlooking the outdoor pool or cosying up round the fire in the winter. WiFi is available in the main Lapa. But it’s the views that will take your breath away – dramatic skies, vast plains and wildlife wandering around before you.
This simple, rustic camp offers a pristine wilderness experience, where silence is maintained by the use of solar power and you have an overwhelming sense of being at one with nature. The bar at Etendeka Mountain Camp has an incredible view, the comfortable lounge is a sociable area with a long table where all meals are taken and the pool with its loungers is a lovely way to finish each day. Each of the ten spacious tents has either double or twin beds with luxury mattresses and crisp cotton linen. There’s an ensuite bathroom but also a fun eco friendly outdoor bucket shower with unlimited hot water to fill it up. There is WiFi in the restaurant where your fully inclusive two course dinner, continental breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea are all served.
Set in a secluded valley in the foothills of the Erongo mountains, you’ll find the twelve luxury tented chalets which make up Erongo Wilderness Lodge. Raised walkways and natural stone steps meander between the granite boulders connecting the rooms to the main lodge building where you’ll eat your meals under the thatched dining room with a cosy central fireplace for cooler evenings. The outdoor pool and sundowner deck are perfect for unwinding after a day out walking and exploring and there’s even a floodlit waterhole for extra wildlife watching. The tents are raised on stilts and fit perfectly into their surroundings. Each has a shaded deck, a gorgeous luxurious bathroom and stunning views framed by billowing curtains.
Chic, elegant, eco friendly and modern, the Namib guesthouse is in a quiet neighbourhood in the heart of old Swakopmund, within easy walking distance shops, restaurants, museums and the beach. It’s small with just eight spacious contemporary rooms including a two-bedroom family suite, all of which have flat screen TV, hairdryer, tea and coffee making facility and safe. Delicious breakfasts are served in the lounge looking out over the small courtyard. WiFi and secure parking are also available to guests – it’s the ideal place to enjoy the natural beauty and adventurous activities the town and surrounding area has to offer.
A warm welcome from Heidi, Ben and the team at Villa Violet is the perfect introduction to Namibia. Nestled in the leafy surburb of Klein Windhoek, this modern, elegant guesthouse has six ensuite rooms which open onto a lawned area and patio where you can relax after exploring central Windhoek, just a short drive away. You’ll enjoy making use of the lovely small outdoor pool for cooling off in at the bottom of the garden. Every room has air conditioning/heating, flat screen TV and a safe. WiFi, secure parking and laundry service are also available to guests and there are restaurants and shops close by.
45km from Sesriem and close to the famous dunes of the Namib desert, lies this imaginative 10 room tented Eco Camp with decked outdoor pool. Specially designed 85sqm canvas tents will envelope you in pure comfort with views over a world of vast space, endless horizons and rugged mountains. Each comes with king size beds, ensuite bathroom with indoor and outdoor solar heated showers, two power outlets, tea and coffee making station and a mini bar. But it’s the outside that will take your breath away… You can even have your bed pushed out onto your wooden deck for some bedtime star gazing!
You’ll be able to use the bar, restaurant and swimming pool at the main Desert Lodge where excellent farm style meals and Namibian brewed beer are served.

Learning about ancient cultures and seeing rock engravings : Namibia’s population is a blend of at least 11 major ethnic groups, including San Bushmen and Himba and you’ll notice a change in dress, language, art, music, sport, food and religion as you explore.
