Meet the team

Originally from Somerset, I moved to Keswick when I was 22 and spent my first 10 years working as an Outdoor Pursuits Instructor. In between seasons, I would usually venture off somewhere, going on paddling expeditions, walking in the Himalayas, or rock climbing around Europe.

Fancying something new but wanting to remain in the outdoor industry, I then spent a few years working for a local adventure travel company.  After having two gorgeous girls, I needed to create work around my hours, so worked as a painter and decorator. This might sound like a curve-ball but I spent my childhood getting in trouble for repeatedly climbing onto the school roof, so working on scaffolding suited me pretty well. In order to keep my foot in the door in the adventure industry, I also took on freelance content writing jobs, writing articles for various outdoor adventure companies.

After bumping into Ian at the climbing wall in Keswick, we chatted about ame taking a position at Archipelago Choice and I was delighted to be offered a job in content and marketing. It’s a creative arena that I love, creating honest travel stories, so that people can make informed decisions when deciding where to go next.
