Meet the team

Originally from Somerset, I moved to Keswick when I was 22 and spent my first 10 years working as an Outdoor Pursuits Instructor. In between seasons, I would usually venture off somewhere, paddling down the orange river in South Africa, walking in the Himalayas or rock climbing around Europe.

Fancying something new but wanting to remain in the outdoor industry, I then spent a few years working for an adventure travel company. However, after having two gorgeous girls, I needed to create work around my hours, so worked as a painter and decorator. Painting might sound like a curve-ball but I spent my childhood years climbing onto the school roof, so working on scaffolding suited me pretty well. In order to keep my foot in the door in the adventure industry, I also took on freelance content-writing jobs, writing articles for various local outdoor companies.

I was delighted to be offered the marketing position at Archipelago Choice because it’s a creative arena that I have always wanted to get into, and I get to work with a great team of like-minded people
